The CALM project is focused on developing a mobile, context-sensitive long-term monitoring system (taking patient activity into account) for patients with cardiovascular disorders. Sensors which can be worn next to the body are being developed for the continuous monitoring of ECG, blood pressure and patient activity. The sensors will be integrated into a telemetric system, with the sensors wirelessly connected via mobile phone to a medical monitoring facility.

One of Medset's focal areas in this project is artefact recognition and reduction with the aid of patient activity sensors.
